I am an autistic person who went through graduate school at Syracuse University for Cultural Foundations of Education and Disability Studies. After graduation I was given a job offer by the Burton Blatt Institute a research center and institute at Syracuse University reaches around the globe in its efforts to advance the civic, economic, and social participation of people with disabilities.

At Burton Blatt they are really helpful. I get accommodations such as Dragon and Read Write Gold and people help explain things I don’t understand and how to do certain processes which can be tough due to executive functioning. I also get to do what I love think about disability rights and what it says about society something I think the way my brain works help me be able to think about and communicate to others. Right now I work three days a week but will move to four. I am a hard worker and get my work done in a timely manner and complete manner.
